Product overview
MiMode™ PuraBead® CBX1 is a mixed-mode chromatography resin functionalized with an aminophenylboronic acid ligand. This chemistry enables a unique combination of cationic, aromatic hydrophobic, boronate ester, and hydrogen-bonding interactions, providing versatile selectivity for biomolecule purification. Built on the robust PuraBead® 6XL matrix, CBX1 offers high binding capacity, excellent flow properties, and strong base stability, making it well-suited for both bind-and-elute capture and flow-through polishing applications.
CBX1 is particularly effective in workflows requiring glycoprotein handling, including the selective enrichment of glycosylated antibodies and enzymes, removal of glycoprotein impurities from recombinant proteins, and DNA polishing in viral vector production. Its reversible boronate–diol complexation supports efficient capture and mild elution, ensuring preservation of product integrity while delivering high yields. With broad operating pH tolerance and compatibility with standard cleaning protocols, CBX1 integrates seamlessly into existing downstream processes from discovery through to manufacturing scale.
